Supervisor
Thomas Wood then stated that he and Town Attorney William Reynolds have been
working on the elevator contract. He then
asked Town Attorney William Reynolds to update the Board.
Town
Attorney William Reynolds stated he has been trying to communicate with the Bay
State elevator representative with concerns to certain issues of the contract
that were troubling him. Although this
has taken quite some time, those issues have now been addressed and they’ve
come to an agreement with the revised contract.
He stated the contract should be here tomorrow and once Supervisor
Thomas Wood has signed it, he can have them come in to inspect the elevator.
Supervisor
Thomas Wood stated he received notice from the County that they are
anticipating a 25% drop in sales tax in the coming months, so we must be
cautious on our spending. He and
Councilman Gary Squires spoke with Highway Superintendent Don Ormsby concerning
curtailing spending and Highway Superintendent Don Ormsby agreed with
them.
Supervisor
Thomas Wood told the Board that landfill samples had been taken a few weeks ago
and he recently received that report. He
then updated the Board on
the
following tenants: He received an email from Terri Stripling, of 1080, which
said she is in agreement of the conditions laid out for their office.
He
received a voice message from Kristen Renauld and she is planning on moving
into the 2W office on the 2nd floor, once the current tenant has
vacated that space.
Supervisor
Thomas Wood also noted the Town has received a $10,000.00 check
from
the Hudson Valley Greenway Grant, which concludes that grant for the South
Trailhead.
Supervisor
Thomas Wood updated the Board concerning the request of reducing the speed
limit on Hayes and Casey roads to 40 miles per hour. NYS DOT has granted that request and lowered
the speed limit as requested by the Board.
Highway Superintendent Don Ormsby will be ordering and putting up the
new signs.

Thomas Wood thanked the Town Council, for coming in and auditing the bills
