ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS DRAFT MINUTES

June 25, 2018

 

 

Chairman William Moreau called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the flag salute. 

Chairman William Moreau proceeded to review the Rules of the Board.

 

Zoning Clerk Linda McCabe called the roll: Chairman William Moreau – present, Clifford Hanehan – absent (arrived at 7:03 p.m.), Thomas Carringi – present, Clarence Fosdick – present, Christopher Benn – present, Nicholas Schwartz - present, Steve Mehan - present, Alternate Member Mark Sullivan - present.

 

Due to the absence of Clifford Hanehan, Alternate Member Mark Sullivan was elevated to full voting status.

 

Also present: Zoning Officer Gil Albert, William Reynolds, Attorney for the Town.  (Sign-in sheet is on file in the Clerk’s office.)

 

Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Christopher Benn, seconded by Clarence Fosdick, to accept the meeting minutes of April 23, 2018.   Chairman William Moreau – aye, Clifford Hanehan - absent, Thomas Carringi - aye, Clarence Fosdick - aye, Christopher Benn - aye, Nicholas Schwartz - aye, Steve Mehan - aye, Mark Sullivan - aye.

Carried  7 - 0

Approved

 

Returning Applicant - Continued Public Hearing

Returning Applicant moved his deck and due to the stair design impeding into the setback, he seeks a 10' front setback variance.  This application was tabled by the Applicant at the March 2018 meeting.

 

The Applicant failed to appear before the Board.

 

Chairman William Moreau stated he was at this site today and the numbers on the map are incorrect.  The Board reviewed the application and after a brief discussion the Board requested the Applicant be notified that he needs to provide the Board with an 'as built' clean survey showing correct dimensions, along with a new application that corresponds to the proper survey.

A motion was made by Clifford Hanehan, seconded by Nicholas Schwartz, to adjourn the

meeting at 7:14 p.m.  Chairman William Moreau – aye, Clifford Hanehan - aye, Thomas Carringi - aye, Clarence Fosdick - aye, Christopher Benn - aye, Nicholas Schwartz - aye, Steve Mehan - aye.
