Committee
reports:
Landfill: Supervisor Thomas Wood reminded the Board of the request from Phoenix Lab. for the Town to put in a new well at the town brush dump. He then stated that Councilman James Jennings will look for, and purchase, a locking well cap for Well #1 at the brush dump. He added that Phoenix Lab. continues to accept no responsibility for failing to put the cap back on after testing the well, which caused the issue of mice getting in, chewing the rope to their test pipe which then clogged the well. He said the Town will cap the well and lock it and going forward, Phoenix will have to notify the Town prior to testing the well, get the key from us to unlock the well cap, complete their tests, remove their equipment, replace and lock the well cap and return the key to us every time they test the well. Simply put, they caused the issue, failed to notify the Town, failed to take responsibility, requested the Town put in a new well after they clogged it and then blamed the Town for their error. Supervisor Thomas Wood directed Councilman James Jennings to remove anything belonging to Phoenix and put a lock cap on the well as soon as possible.
Insurance: No report.
Youth: No report.
