Rural District. He noted that an Adult
Business would require a Special Use Permit from the Planning Board. Just a couple of the specifics of the
regulations are that an Adult Use Business would require at least 5 acres and
300’ of frontage along with locational requirements in the Rural District. (The

Local Law #7, Adult Use Business Regulations, was opened by Supervisor

Kurt Mausert spoke against the use in the Rural District, adding that it should be in
a Commercial District.
Ian Murray suggested a wording change
in Section 6 of the law to read must
not shall and suggested that the Special Use Permit required be renewable
annually with fees.
Bob Hathaway questioned why they can’t
be outlawed throughout the town? Town
Attorney William Reynolds responded that the courts have ruled that they cannot
be prohibited totally. Supervisor
Thomas Wood noted that regulations are needed since without them in place we
are wide open without regulation.
Stephen Bodnar agreed with Ian Murray’s
comments.
Sean Kelleher urged the board to keep
them out of the Lake Commercial District.
